When you register an account we collect your name, date of birth, email address, postal address, phone number and a payment method. During verification we may also collect a copy of your photo ID and a recent utility bill or bank statement. We log technical information about your device, browser, IP address and the pages you visit on Britsino so the site works correctly and so we can detect fraud. Cookies and similar technologies are covered in our Cookie Policy.
How is your data used?
We use your data to operate your account, process deposits and withdrawals, comply with anti-money-laundering and Know Your Customer rules, prevent fraud, send important account notifications and, where you have agreed, send marketing about new games and promotions. You can opt out of marketing at any time from inside your account settings or by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. We never sell your data to third parties.
Who do we share data with?
We share data only with the partners we need to operate the service. That includes our payment processors, our identity verification provider, our cloud hosting partner, our customer support tooling provider and, where legally required, regulators and law enforcement. Each of these partners is bound by contract to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we have agreed.
What rights do you have?
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct it, ask us to delete it where the law allows, restrict our processing of it, port it to another service and object to certain types of processing. To exercise any right, email privacy@britsino.com from the email address registered to your account. We will respond within one calendar month. If you are not happy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
How long do we keep your data?
We retain transaction records for seven years to meet UK financial regulation. Identity verification records are held for five years after account closure. Marketing preferences are kept until you change them. Other operational data is held for as long as the account is active and for a reasonable archival period after closure.
How does Britsino keep your data secure?
Every page on Britsino is served over HTTPS using current TLS standards, which means data in transit between your device and our servers is encrypted. At rest, sensitive fields such as payment tokens, identity documents and verification photos are encrypted with industry-standard AES-256. Access to personal data inside Britsino is strictly role-based, logged and reviewed quarterly. Production databases live in UK and EEA data centres operated by ISO 27001 certified hosting partners. We run continuous vulnerability scans, quarterly penetration tests by an independent firm and a public bug bounty programme for security researchers. In the unlikely event of a personal data breach that poses a risk to your rights, we will notify the Information Commissioner's Office within 72 hours and inform you directly if you are personally affected.
What is the legal basis for processing your data?
We rely on four lawful bases under UK GDPR. Contract: we need your data to provide the account, the games and the cashier you signed up for. Legal obligation: anti-money-laundering law and the UK Gambling Commission licence conditions require us to verify your identity, monitor for suspicious patterns and retain transaction records. Legitimate interest: fraud prevention, network security and basic service analytics are processed because we and our players have a clear interest in a safe, working site. Consent: marketing communications, optional cookies and any sensitive special-category data are processed only with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
How does Britsino handle international data transfers?
Most of your data stays inside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, both of which are recognised as having adequate data protection standards. A small number of operational partners, such as one of our customer support tooling providers, are based in the United States. Where we transfer personal data outside the UK or EEA, we rely on UK International Data Transfer Agreements, supplemented by the Standard Contractual Clauses where appropriate, plus additional technical safeguards including encryption in transit and at rest. A full list of sub-processors and their locations is published on the Britsino trust centre and updated whenever a partner changes.
Can children or other vulnerable groups use Britsino?
Britsino is strictly for adults aged 18 or over. We check your declared age at sign-up against electoral roll, credit reference and other identity databases. We re-verify before paying out larger withdrawals. If we detect that an underage individual has somehow opened an account, we close it immediately, refund any deposits and delete the personal data we are not legally required to retain. We also apply enhanced safer-gambling monitoring to accounts that show vulnerability indicators, such as rapidly increasing deposit patterns, late-night session clusters or distress-related support tickets. The full responsible play approach is described on the Responsible Gambling page, and our Cookie Policy explains how tracking interacts with this work.
